See what you're missing.

Most owners are too deep in the day to step back and look at the whole business. The patterns that cost the most — lost time, lost leads, work being done twice — are the ones hardest to see from the inside.

MiGrit helps Michigan business owners see what they're too busy to see, fix what they're too busy to fix, and regain control of their business.

Build on what is right. Measure against what is real.

Where it starts

The Business Improvement Review

A one on one conversation about your business. Not a sales pitch disguised as a free consultation.

We talk about what's working, what isn't, and where time or money is leaking out. You do most of the talking. I ask the questions an outsider can ask and someone inside the business usually can't.

Afterward you get a short written report: what I heard, what I saw, and what I'd do about it. It's yours to keep and act on, whether or not we ever work together again.

  • A clear picture of what's already working well
  • An honest read on where efficiency is being lost
  • Opportunities that are hard to see from inside the business
  • At least one practical idea you can use straight away

How it works

Five steps, always in order

  1. Discover reality

Understand what is actually happening — not the first description of it.

  2. Recover lost value

Find value already created but not captured: revenue, margin, time, relationships.

  3. Optimize the business

Simpler workflows, clearer ownership, useful reporting — not more complexity.

  4. Innovate solutions

The best practical fix. Technology is never the starting point.

  5. Measure the impact

Better decisions from better information — not more data.

Who this is for

Owner-run service businesses

The business

Service-oriented, roughly 5–50 employees. Crews or teams in the field. One owner, no board. Complex enough that the owner is carrying more than one person should.

The owner

Willing to hear something they didn't want to hear. Shares real information. Asks hard questions back. Ready to change something once they see why.

If a business is already running the way its owner wants it to, the right advice is to leave it alone. I'd rather say that than sell something nobody needs.

Who you'd be working with

Patrick Closser

Thirty years in technical B2B sales and business processes, working with everyone from the C-suite to the production floor of small, midsize, and large international companies — understanding how they run, how processes flow, where friction sits, and what it costs.

MiGrit Consultants is a Michigan LLC based in Pinckney. The work is hands-on and the client list is deliberately short: I'd rather do a small number of engagements properly than carry a roster I can't give real attention to.

MiGrit advises. The owner decides.
